You know web sites like this one and those of others depicting anti-Harper just shows that you people are wannabe welfare recipients. Your antics will never convince me to change my opinion about Harper and the conservatives. I found it hard for a federal government spend tax money on culture. Culture is a community based ideology period. Means you get your community involved. It also sickens me that a province like Quebec who want thier own independance relies on the federal governmant for culture when its that culture they wish to destroy Canada. What happened to the country ideology instead of that me me me ideology? Sports is a culture here in Canada especially hockey yet the feds never bailed out the slumping winnipeg jets. Or the Montreal Expos so why should the feds pay for your aers and music etc.?

The federal government collects tax money from culture and artists, Rob. You think oil and the military aren't an ideology? There is no reason why our government should not be governing for the good of all. Culture is a huge industry and should be supported - and if the Conservatives were truly following an economically conservative financial agenda they would be supporting the industry instead of kneecapping it. And BTW, the feds do support sport. What do you think the whole Olympic program is about? Have you forgotten that? What do you think the programs supporting amateur sport are about? And where do pro players come from? They're fostered in those amateur and junior teams, with lots of government support. Go ahead, let your ignorance decide your vote.
